Opteka makes fine quality lens for cameras. The XTreme Digital for Flip is not any exception. The lens mounts magnetically to the Flip camera. Enclosed are 2 ½" circular rings that have adhesive on one aspect and a magnet on the opposite (you solely want one). once applying the adhesive aspect permanently to your Flip (not noticeable), the lens snaps tightly with the magnet. I do not think it would be very useful in case of a fall from the camera. The only problem for me is that if you have a case of a tie, the camera makes it difficult to get in and out due to friction. The advantage of silicone is that you have a better grip on the camcorder and its not as slippery as and therefore reduces the chances of an accidental fall, which would be the end of the camera more likely. product worth

Patton I received a Flip Video camcorder for my birthday last year and found that only could charge through my computer, so I decided to buy this product because it included a skin, home / car charger. Now, originally just wanted the charger because I needed another way to charge my Flip, but thought it was good to include a skin because I wanted to protect my hitch in case he dropped it.

The wall charger does not work at all. That takes about 10 seconds, then disappears and the red light is no longer pull my load. The car charger does not charge the period Flip. The skin fits perfectly, and the keychain ... so it's a keychain.

I did not buy this for the key ring, or skin. I needed a charger, and no work boots! Ugh! Lame.
